Anybody else hurriedly finishing off their AFL 99 season's like me?

I finished 4th 13-9 & lost the Semi Final.

Bring it on!

I don't know how to save games on AFL 99.

If there's anyone out there who doesn't have a PS2, Xbox or just simply can't get it to run on their PC it will be released on Gamecube at the end of the year.:)

I can't wait till AFL Live 2003 is out either.

I've heard some great things about the game and seen some really good screen shots.

Just a few things on my mind:

  • I hope that the players don't look identical
  • It isn't riduclously easy or hard
  • I hope it has a really in-depth season mode, like recent Madden games.

I heard it's coming out in August 15th so it's just around the corner, I'll have to ring my local video game store to make 100% sure....

You all are wasting your money...

Go out and find yourself a copy of AFL 98, possibly the greatest game ever made. Maybe there is no fifty metre line, and maybe Tristan and Alistair Lynch's photo's are around the wrong way, and even though you can only make interchanges at the breaks, it's still a timeless classic.

The only thing the game is lacking is a different difficulty level. It's getting a bit ridiculous when you are beating teams by 220 points in 24 mins. Maybe I just play it a bit much...

I just pre-ordered my copy on Xbox and it has been pushed back a week to the 22nd

If you think the greatest game ever made is one where you can beat a team by 220 points everytime you play then you need to play more games.:p :p

And only has 21 players per team, not the whole squads.I can make interchanges while the match is in progress.

I just got the sample disk which has the video on it from Myer. It does look pretty alright, but some parts don't look right, but did like how the ruckman were pushing and shoving at the throw in.

One feature I would like to see and AFL game have, is the ability to play as, or against 'old' sides. For instance, premiership teams from years gone by, or 'Team of the Century' sides for the various clubs who have them. They could also have past players and stuff too.

Likewise, it would also be good if you could make up your own team, and select players from all over the league.

Yeah, they are great on FIFA soccer, playing Man United from 1970 against Rangers 2000.

If AFL Live 2003 goes well then i think you will see that sort of stuff in later editions...2004 etc..
