Whatever you say mate. I guess that’s why the closest umpire didn’t even pay it and fans of neither side were all in agreement that it was a bad call. But you’re right 👍

Embarrassingly biased mods are always the most fun.
And I bet you thought the free to Larkey for front on contact was all good too, eh?

No? I thought it was ridiculous. Believe it or not, one can watch incidents in games and not blindly side with their own team. Crazy, I know.

So then they canceled each other out, so why are you still whining about it?

Both frees were there. Both got paid.

good to see the Hawks really put them to the sword.
I real back to earth defeat for the roos.
Great to see Gunston keep on keeping on with a bag of 7.
Smashed them in the middle without Day and Worpel. Forget what the stats say Meek destroyed Xerri when the heat was on. Xerri had a decent last part of the game when the horse had bolted.

Meek - 11 disp 3 marks 5 score inv 37 hitouts 9 HTA 5 clearances 6 tackles
Xerri - 18 disp 5 marks 4 score inv 31 hitouts 6 HTA 5 clearances 3 tackles

7 disposals different, 2 marks to Xerri.

Meek 1 more score inv, more hitouts and hitouts to advantage, same clearances and double the tackles.

He was big during the big moments too Meek.

This is the North of earlier in the year so far. So much space in Hawthorn’s forward line every single time. Defenders trying to cover two forwards somehow? What is the system that allows this to happen?
No Comben or Corr. Logue is out form, Pink is a trier but not highly capable, Dawson inexperienced and unproven - plus it wasn't against West Coast, or a mentally shot Carlton, or Melbourne who have no ability to score, or Freo on a "we can't be bothered scoring" game. And the smaller defenders have been a problem even in North's better games.

Not that Comben or Corr are great, but Comben in particular may have allowed other defenders to play closer to their man in shutdown roles as he wrapped up the intercept marks.

That's no excuse, especially for the midfield getting smacked like that making it so much harder, but upsets any structure that might have been considered.
