Jesse Hogan kicked a lazy 9 goals when these two sides met in round 4. Expect him to make up for that disappointment and kick a dozen this time.

Giants by 94 points

Giants easily. WCE couldn't even beat North when they had a stranglehold on that game. The question is by how much.

There's a sniff of an upset here, we've been showing signs and the Giants...well, you never know what you're gonna get.

I think main difference is the Giants are scrapping for top 8. Heart says Eagles by 5, head says Giants by a comfortable 30.

Bet you didn't give us any hope against St Kilda.

It's still a tough ask, but I can see it happening if we can play close to 4 quarters.
I did. In this case GWS aren't the Saints. They're levels above. You got smashed by Carlton and Melbourne too. Saints are average I might add.

True, the main reason I have hope is they're inconsistent.

But then again don't think we've beaten them the last few years.
Overcame deficits against Richmond and Gold Coast just a week and a half ago. Beat Brizzy at The GABBA in between those they seem to be on the up. Have the fire-power and too many match winners.

You don't get in a shootout with the giants and win. Eagles did well against the pies because they pressured and actually scored off turnover. That game style plays right into what GWS wants. Eagles and Mini dont have the discipline to play the way they need to win this.

With how many outs the Giants have the Eagles are in with a real shot.

Mind you, you can scrap that with the Eagles coming off a 6 day break against Collingwood in Melbourne as opposed to GWS having had 12 days to freshen up.

The giants might be missing a few stars however they really should get this done easy.

I'd love someone to pull up the stats for the Eagles having either the same break or less than the opposition. The eagles travel interstate 11 times a year and still cop this huge bias and people wonder why even when playing well they get overrun.

2-3 years ago it was understandable but the club has had best in league fitness, recovery, S&C resources for the past 18 months and still always get run down.....

I know it's a very young team but the league just wrecks the eagles on breaks vs opposition.
