Pretty sub-par game from Mitch against ordinary opposition.

He’ll be disappointed with that effort.

Like a small Max King....but good!

We’d be much better with an in-form Max King in the side. As long as we don’t just bomb it to him when he’s being double or triple teamed all the time.

He’d be an enormous upgrade on what we’ve gotten from Keeler for a lot of the year and on what we got from Caminiti for a lot of last night.

Oppo teams don’t worry about them, but they worry about Max. He draws multiple defenders to him.

Sharman is a much better kick for goal though. He missed a couple last night but he’s usually deadly accurate and can nail them from outside 50 as well. He’s a hell of a good kick.

Yep, hes having a career game

Sharman had a 10 coaches vote game against Essendon late last year as well. 21 disposals, 10 marks (3 contested, 5 inside 50) and 3 goals, and was dominating the forward line like last night.

So this is his 2nd such game in his last 11 and since he returned to the side in R17 last year he’s kicked 25 goals from 15 games.

Thanks for the opinions, but that was ugly stuff. Objectively Ross Lyon makes our sport worse. Pies don't play the prettiest but your mob make us look like the Lions.

I'm sad the league is so screwed that St Kilda has to resort to this.

St Kilda weren’t ultra defensive last night. Freo got absolutely smashed in the contest. One of the most lop sided contested games you will see.

Very hard to score when you can’t get your hands on the footy and then try to start a chain from deep inside your defensive half each time. Especially when you are coached by Longmuire who struggles to get his team to move the footy with any attacking flair.

If you are getting the ball up your end that often it makes it very easy yo set up defensively. And it's hard to flood back as much as the rules will let you when the ball is constantly up your end (almost double the inside 50's)

Freo are poorly coaches side that can't move the footy at the best of times let alone when they get smashed in the contest and the can't get the footy up their end of the ground.

I rate Cooper as much as the next bloke and as frustrating as King has been with form and injury, he's still managed to kick almost 50 goals over his last 23 games.

I doubt you've actually watched a lot of St Kilda this year if that's what you believe.

An average total score of 180 points per game suggest its fairly free flowing and not that hard to score.

As a Freo supporter, the only good thing to come out of this game was Carlton's 10 goal loss to Adelaide.
