Does anyone know of any AFL apps for iphone?

Im looking for anything to do with live scores, fixtures, etc.
There seem to be plenty for other sports (soccer, tennis, nhl, etc) but i cant find anything for AFL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
ok, after 100 views and not a single reponse, ill just assume that iphones are an afl wasteland.

I had a 30th and a wedding on mid-winter resulting in me missing games on telly / live.

I basically had to keep refreshing gameday threads on BigFooty to get the scores. Very inconvenient!

If this new one can inform live scores in an app, it'll be a winner. Definitely needed.

WunderRadio may be a fraction pricey, but it can get TripleM, ABC, 3AW and whatever Radelaide stations you have.

Only good for short bursts though, although I've never gone close to my 700MB allowance.
 
I think i should start learning cocoa language.


Hopefully by the time I actually learn something, something would be up already.

The news feature is pretty handy, but dont think it includes HS, the Age etc. Has the first couple lines to give the jist of the article, to read in full you have to follow the link through safari. The live score feature is just the HTML version of gameday.
Goes alright. $4 which is pretty reasonable and since the apparent money raised goes to the bushfire appeal, why not?

Just tried this app, it is fantastic! All you could hope for, and a really good cause too!

Its great to have the news feed of my fave team (go bombers!) whenever I launch the app. Its actually nice how it shows you a news snippet before loading up Safari. Also, the game history is really impressive.

Thanks Kiwa Footy, this is just what we've all been waiting for. I would pay $10 for this app, so at $4 its a steal.:thumbsu::)

EDIT* Works well but would still be nice too see an integrated live scores feature similar to the app mentioned above. Now just have to see which of the live score websites works the best. Wish gameday had some sort of game clock
 
brilliant app, can't wait for some updates down the line case the base app is great.

anyone seen any AFL covers/cases around for the iPhone, I saw some dude last year with what looked like a Geelong case but i've not seen anything else like it around.
 
Before I download the app, I need to know whether or not you can check the match stats, or is it just scores? I'm talking about disposals, tackles, hitouts, marks etc
 
Anouther new app out now...not sure how long it's been there.
It's called iafl and it costs $1.19 I think
I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it's any good

Looks like it does the news alot better than the previous one. (see back button)

Still no integrated live scores/ stats though.
 
Does this mean the app wont work anymore....or just that current/future sales are stopped?

I'll be crapped off if it doesnt work anymore. Dont know whether i should get iAFL before it "disappears" too!

Not happy about developers being threatened with legal action over this. Would like to know if it was Telstra or the AFL or both who threatened them. They dont offer a sanctioned app but wont allow this one...idiots.

Seems odd, cos this app actually sends you to the AFL website for gameday live scores and stats, and for some news items as well. Surely this is a good thing for the site.
 
It seems Telstra have a real problem with the iPhone. When I bought mine I tried them first and they weren't interesting in offering me anything close to what I could get at Vodaphone or Optus. They have also removed pretty much all advertising from their storefronts and brochures.

Anyway I think they are prepared to make it as hard as possible for developers to use their information for applications they won't be recieving money from. Word is an officially sanctioned app will be avaliable soon. I hope it is this one http://blog.mcilvena.com/my-projects/ which has already been posted in this thread. Looks fantastic!

That looks fantastic, it's really in depth for $2.49, tried to purchase it just then but it said it couldn't do it right now(hopefully this isn't an issue for all at the moment?), so will give it a try later.

Good to see the voice-over bloke is a Tiges supporter too, even more reason to buy.:thumbsu::D
