St Kilda plans to put a greater emphasis on its development program next year and has approached Collingwood head of academy Damian Carroll about a potential move.

It comes as highly-rated former Lions midfield assistant Dale Tapping attracts serious interest from Essendon and Collingwood about potential roles for next season.

Tapping had been offered a two-year deal to stay with the Lions, but chose to return to Victoria for family reasons.

The man who played a key role in Lachie Neale’s 2020 Brownlow Medal season attracted interest from several clubs.

for the life of me I can't remember who was our stoppage coach this season

So if he comes maybe switch Gia forward he won the coach of the year in that possie

Then pickup a good defence coach from somewhere

James Kelly who left at the end of pre-season. Then it was covered by the existing coaching group, so probably cara.

Oh thats right him to stoppages would improve that area

Hopefully Gia goes back to the forwards

Wonder who is available as a defence or forward coach? Roughead seems highly rated

This post doesn't seem to be in line with what was being tweeted.
 
Seems like we are about to land Dale Tapping as a replacement assistant coach for Dan Jordan, according to Paul Amy. He was originally moving back to Collingwood but a change of coach there has changed that.

Tapping first came to prominence as a premiership player at Prahran in 1987.
After a period of reserves footy at Melbourne and a return to Prahran his coaching CV looks like this:
