In the coniglio and buddy franklin screenshots they are using yellow balls even though it is cleary day. Does it mean we could play twilight matches in the game

It means you can choose a red or yellow ball, as has been the case in the last two AFL games.

What do you get for pre-ordering? I know there is a footy but I was wondering if you get the game a day earlier.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
You'll get the game on it's release date unless the street date is broken

In the case of Live 1 I had a pre order and they let me come pick it up a few days early since somewhere else had started selling the game early

AFL games always break street date, there's no penalty for breaking it like there is FIFA etc. My local EB started selling them as soon as the stock arrived

To celebrate round 1, we have some exciting news! We know you've been waiting for this!

Here is a picture of a rendered football!!!!!

Fox Footy's Facebook page has an article about the screenshots. They started it off by saying "Just months away from its release". So I guess that's May or June then.

The weekend after Anzac Day, mark my words. If I'm wrong I will make adjustments to the in-game player attributes to match GTL's and post screenshots when the game is released accordingly.
What we should do is sim a season with the default attributes, and then sim one with GTL's attributes, and see which is more accurate.

Saw a young fella comment on one of the Fox pages (think it may have been Fox Footy's page) yesterday asking what the player ratings were, and i linked old mate's thread to the comment. Spreading the gospel of GTL one person at a time

Oh god please don't bring FB dickheads here, this thread is already bad enough

Not knocking the hard work that GTL put into those ratings though. Annoyed a lot of people but can see the effort he put in. Hopefully when the game's out, he invests that time in writing a piece in the stories forum. Would be pretty funny if he started a career with Sam Jacobs and detailed his rise to a 93 rating

haha the kid was like 10, i don't think he'd be able to sign up. But yeah, won't do that again :D

hmmmm yeh...

The AFL world is eagerly awaiting the release of AFL Evolution, the first footy console game in some time.

We’ve been privy to screen shots here and there, and the odd bit of information slipping out about the gameplay itself, including the introduction of 80 playable ‘Legendary Teams’.

The Greenfield Post understands that one of those playable teams will be Carlton’s all conquering 2002 side.

The Denis Pagan led Blues barnstormed their way to a three-win season, culminating in Carlton’s first ever wooden spoon.

“We thought after the Brisbane Lions 2001-2003 squad, and the ‘Baby Bombers’ of 1993, this Carlton team was the most notorious,” a spokesman for the developers of AFL Evolution confirmed.

“Now Carlton and AFL fans can live out their dream of running out onto the hallowed turf of Colonial Stadium as Andrew Eccles or Adrian Hickmott.

“The way we saw it, we couldn’t create a Legendary Teams feature and not include Jimmy Plunkett streaming off a wing.”

It’s understood that under the Legendary Teams feature, players can either elect to play a friendly game against another team, or take on one of several real-life challenges faced by the Legendary Team itself.

“The scenario is: the Lions are trailing Collingwood in the last quarter of the ’02 Grand Final,” our source explained.

“You simply have to overrun them to win back-to-back premierships.

“Or, the Sydney Swans are trailing Geelong at home in the Preliminary Final; you have to kick four goals with Nick Davis in the last quarter to win.

“Or, with this aforementioned ’02 Carlton side, you have to lose to Collingwood by 108 points in Round 18, and ONLY kick four goals for the game.”

It’s this sort of attention to detail that will elevate AFL Evolution to a must have for any PS4 or Xbox 360 owner.
