AFL Live 2004 gamepad problem

Been playing AFL Live 2004 on the PC.

Have had trouble playing the 'scenario' type games.

I'm only able to play them using the keyboard - it doesn't let me use my gamepad.

Does it have anything to do with the control select / player profile type screen which comes up with normal games where the keyboard is P1 and the gamepad is P2?

Anyone have any idea on how I can fix this?

I had the same problem. I don't know why, but it went away after applying the 'slow turning players' patch from this link:

http://www.afllive.com.au/ts/patches.html

If that doesn't work then try:
updating your drivers
a different joystick
a different port


Although to be honest if the patch doesn't work you might be out of luck.

I forgot to add, it's a registry patch so if you feel paranoid about that you might want to back up your registry first. I'm pretty sure you're safe though - I know about five people that's used it and it has worked every time.
