Ok, I have bought the game today and did all the installation stuff that it asks, but then when I went to open it, I recieved this message.

'AFL2004 caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff7a141.

Is it a problem with the game or with the system?

Anyone understand what that means? If so, what do I do?

Cheers

would not pay for this game on any console type, have spoken too a few retailers they know that the bugs are there, they do not know of any buy back claims from ACCLAIM.

they tell me to buy it as a patch for the pc should be released, so much for the xbox and ps2 owners out there. supposedly the bugs should be ironed out in the second release of the game.

at least i got afl 2003 off of kazaa, i wont be wasting my money on this one yet

Have no Idea what it means.

I think the game is a pretty good. A lot better then 2003.

The only bug I have seen is the team lineup one and I have played the game a lot. Its not REALLY big. You can just interchange players in the match but none of your reserves can play. Noting wrong with the votes or commentary.

I have played the game and done 6 rounds so far and I like the game.

It could mean a number of things including that the game wasn't installed properly, the software is damaged, low disk space, incorrect or damaged hardware driver, viruses or you may just have a damaged or incorrect version of the Kernel32.dll file.

If you only get the message when running this program then it needs to be reinstalled or replaced. If the problem occurs when you access multiple files and programs, the damage is likely caused by damaged hardware.

Cheers Blue4Life,

It must be in need of replacing, because I have reinstalled about 8 times.

How long did it take to install on your system?? It only took me about 3-5 mins, could that mean anything?

Thanks alot

I don't have AFL but have had similar problems to what your having on my old PC with a different game which I never fixed because I was just borrowing the game.

3-5 minutes sounds kinda short but I'm really not familiar with the size of the game so I can't say, I'm sure others with the game will know.

Might help to have a look at what speed your graphic acceleration is set too, that can also cause problems. My guess would be it's something to with your PC's memory, though it's hard to say, I'm not an expert so take whatever I say with a grain of salt

well i installed it and after the intro movie it came up wif 'afllive2004.exe has incountered a probkem and must close'

i have a good computer but its so full of crap

probably fuked up somthing in the windows directory so tomorow im going to take it in and probably rienstall windows

PC you have got? You can change your lineup...

I'm getting a system error as well, seems to occur after I've quit the application once. As in, I can only ever open it once, after that I get the system error (unless I re-install)

Really flipping annoying, I've re-installed it several times and I'm convinced that it's XP's fault. :D

And if you're running XP, try the compatibility features. They have never really worked for me; however others have had some success.

Yes I do have a PC but I have the game on Playstation 2.

I dont like playing games on PC because I hate playing a game with keyboard thats why I will always get the game for PS2 now.

you should get a joystick combo gamepad like mine

its a belkin nostromo n45 has more buttons and controls than the playstation and also controls the mouse

fully configurable for any game you play

they make one for the ps2 as well

I get exactly this error as well. Can play every other game on my computer without a problem including AFL Live 2003 but this error just comes up straight away.

The same thing happened with the Mini Games demo disk. I have tried everything possible bar a complete format of the computer which doesn't seem worth it because it probably still won't work.

Strangely I got the Mini Games disk working briefly by reinstalling new graphics drivers and then reinstalling the old ones again but then when I got AFL Live 2004 and it didn't work I got new drivers again and now I can no longer get the Mini Games to work!

This makes me think the error must have something to do with the Video card but I've ran out of ideas on how to actaully fix it.

I'm running Win 98 with a Nvida GeForce 2 MX 100/200. What are your specs to get the error?
