AFL Live 2004

Just looking on the Acclaim site, and checked out recent press releases.

Had the release date for AFL 2004 set between July and September this year!

Can't wait

topshop.com.au have it set at 14th August. Haven't seen anything at all about it though, they would want to start releasing screenshots or something.

The game cant be that much better than the crap that was AFL 2003.

West Coast lead by ..... 27 points the commentary was SSOOOO bad. The gameplay was worse, just a bad game, cant see how a year will make it any better.

i was sooooooo angry last year, i bought the game (afl live 2003) and took it home, eager to play!
unfortunately it didn't work on my pc because of my system settings.
the box has minimum requirements and it should work on that, however, my computer was exactly the same as the minimum requirements and it didn't work! BAD STUFF!
i'm not going to upgrade my entire pc just to play one game though.
hopefully 2004 edition will work. hopefully.

at www.xboxworld.com.au they have a video of the game up... i haven't seen it but supposedly there are torpedo punts and snaps in there.

At a guess I would say the minimum requirements will be even greater than that of AFL 2003.

Just watched it then. Animation looks better than last year and the snaps that you mentioned are there. As well as what looked like a torp from Buckley which missed.
Be interesting in the coming months whether they model the players faces etc.

Had a look last night.

Players movements look much more realistic and are much smoother.

There definitely seems to be snaps and torps.

Looks quite good so far, but I will hold judgement for the moment.
Players movements certainly look much more natural though.

Hmm...last year was a good start but looks like this year may be a big improvement over that.

I don't think this one will be delayed as much as last year either.

Seemed to have Optus Oval, Kardinia and some other stadium I couldn't place (may have been Canberra or York Park).

What this game needs is incentives to play out a full season. Then it will be worth playing.
