Anyone else having a shot at AFLW this year?

1 unit Collingwood @$2.90 (sportsbet)

For some weird reason the win is paying $2.90 and 1-39 is paying $2.88 o_O

Yeah having a go, took Collingwood at $3.25 and Carlton at $1.55.
Will be some value as the bookies have little stats.
Looking for a bookie stuff up and can only find draw at TT for $1.01, which is stuffed up the wrong way.

Where did you find $3.25? I haven't seen anything better than $2.90 on Sportsbet.

I reckon the bookies have the total pretty spot on.

I was hoping to be able to have a crack at the total, but I'm not touching it this year.

i worked it to 65 points
Would normally give the unders a go
Not sure what the last touch rule, skill improvement will add to that though so staying out at this point

Anyone wanna take my Adelaide -9.5 pts at $1.60 on Betfair?

You have five minutes, otherwise I will be backing Brisbane at the plus to lock in a profit.

betting on AFLW? Just when I thought you possibly couldn't get any worse, you do something as stupid as this and totally redeem yourselves!

I'm happy for people to be stupid. Extra money for me.

I'd get a better return throwing my money into a wishing well. Absolutely anything could happen in these games. Take the underdog in each match if you have to bet.

I reckon the bookies have little data to work with and a bit of study should reap rewards, it's certainly easier than the Men's for me. The Melb Gws game I put up on the board because it was the best bet I found this round. I had the total going over 9 times out of 10, quite remarkable. Simply looking at the games played in the dry last year involving these 2 confirmed it. Add in the out of bounds last touch rule too. The bookies had it right when it opened in the 70's. They reacted when the opening game went low and dropped it, they are struggling to set lines. Had a 10 unit weekend so happy as with the aflw.

not the worst tactic given the first round and last season, pretty small sample size though.

Plenty on here whinge about how hard the mens game is to bet too, there is nothing wrong with betting on the womens, the limits just suck so outside of topsport its a complete waste of time.

Scoring will be interesting to follow.

It's easy to think with the new zoning rules that scoring will be higher, but umpires have been told not to resume play until all players are in their zones. If players aren't in their zones, the clock will continue to run while players are running back to their zone before the umpire resumes play.

If anything, I think scores will be lower than usual.

Will this time not be played out as time on?
