So our women have finally (!) made the finals.

We play on Saturday in Sydney vs GWS. Typical that the only time the Dees play in Sydney this year (mens or women) and its a final and there won't be spectators.

Then if we win that, and Freo win the other, we're likely to play away in Perth.

That's a hell of a road trip double to make the GF.
 
Excited that we made it, really think we'd have struggled to make top 3 if it stayed as a full season.
GWS have been fickle this year but we're running out of players so they should be favourites. If L. Pearce and/or Downie are back in that'd be huge though.
 
Very lucky, We would have dropped out of the top 3 in our confrence if the season continued

Lucky break, no way were they going to beat Freo and Gold Coast was not a certainty in the final round.

Such a frustrating side - the midfield and backline are great, the forwards can't convert to save themselves. Would be a great time for Cunningham and Newman to get amongst the goals after doing bugger all in the first six games.
 
Cunningham looks like she's had Chris Dawes as marking coach this year. Gets to the ball but drops just about everything. She is a solid set shot though so if a couple stick she's a good chance for a couple of goals.
Would be great if Pearce is back to ruck, or throw Cunningham in there (Hi Wallsy!), So Zanker can play more forward.

Was wondering why they didn't throw Cunningham into the ruck against the blues .
 
Paxman missed a sitter, she could almost ran to the top of the square

The coach needs to go. We can't continue to be one of the best lists years on end and not even reach a GF. Plus, f**** the NT experiment. Has this club ever won after playing in that hellhole??
