I think so. He's played some pretty good footy this year despite the controversy. He's 29 so he would have at least three years left in him IMO. We've seen how well the Pickett experiment worked out, I'd love to see Aker running around in the Red and Blue.
If he did become available at season's end, I'm little worried what we might have to give up for him. Who would we give up? Probably Green is the only good player whom I'd be willing to give up with a draft pick or two. But he's really stepped up this year so I'd be reluctant to. I'd be happy to part with a couple of draft picks.
I think we've got a great mixture of experience and youth and our window for a premiership is now IMO. With Neita reaching his twilight and Johnstone, Bruce, Green, Robbo, Macca, White, Brown, Pickett all at their peak we shouldn't die wondering with this list.
He's a headcase I'll admit, but if he can still play good footy we should aggressively pursue him if he leaves Brisbane.
