I came across Alan Didak tonight in Sydney.

Straight up... he is genuinely a Legend of a person. No ego, just a meat and potatoes bloke who is up for a laugh and wants to make the people around him feel real. The man I spoke to tonight, is double the man I'd hope he'd be.

Humble, Cocky, Respectful... and a Smart arse!

True Legend.

Thanks Dids.

I'd gladly give one of my testicles to have a player of his silk playing for us at the moment (that said I am transitioning to female as we speak).

An elite ball winner, ball user and finisher...they don't grow on trees unfortunately for us.

Love ya Dids.

In 2009 I was lucky enough to sit next to him for the Season Launch in our first year of player sponsorship. Was very open and great to speak to, agree with what you've said there.

Did he try & start a fight & back down quicker than a pollie backflip?

Was a great night!

I remember him sitting on the table and then introducing himself with a handshake saying "I'm Alan".... part of me wanted to introduce myself and then casually ask "... so what do you do Alan?"

Ben Johnson was great value that night too. I think I would have been a rat packer if I was any good at footy.

Haha yeah was a great night indeed!

Had great chat to Heater too. Very down to earth guy.

Well that happened sooner than expected
And I couldn't be happier.

We'd have lost this game at any time during the past 3 seasons due to choking up in front of goal at crucial moments (and to be fair we almost did again last night) but WHE showed why blokes like him are crucial to a side. He nailed that difficult shot (in fact didn't look like missing) under immense pressure and we won.

Fanbloodytastic

Ahhhh Didak.... I miss him so much! What a star. I just bought a puppy and named him Dids. Currently teaching him how to kick around corners, gut run, do shimmies, start a rat pack and basically just be a Legend!
not sure you want rats running around your place

Great soliloquy in inglorious basterds about if a rat came into your house.
Would you greet him with a bowl of your delicious milk.
