Thanks mate, yeah, it's about $40. I enjoy story driven games so it might be a good get.I liked it, mind you, haven’t played it since it came out back in 2010 i believe, at the time it was quite an interesting game, the story keeps you invested, well it did for ,e anyway.
I would recommend giving it a go, especially since a remastered version is out now.

Have decided against it, many reviews said as good as it is, it's pretty repetitive and a few glaring flaws.Yes. It's very atmospheric and if you love story-driven games then you should enjoy Alan Wake.
Gameplay wise, it does hold up well for a remaster of a 2010 game.
It's pretty short too so it's definitely worth your time, especially before the bigger sequel comes out in 2023.
Super repedative from memoryHave decided against it, many reviews said as good as it is, it's pretty repetitive and a few glaring flaws.
A lot of using a flash light from memoryYeah, just seems like do X, go to next section, do X again and so on.
Gameplay trailer looks good, but I'm not sure about the introduction of a second playable character. That takes a fair bit away from it being Alan Wake in my opinion. I also hope they make Alan a bit more likeable in this game as he was a bit of a campaigner in the first one.
It's also digital only, so no physical release. I much prefer physical so I'm not too pleased about that but I'll survive.
Played Alan Wake the last couple of days from PS Plus. I am not a fan of horror games so didn’t know what to expect and glad to say there was no horror in the game lol. The jump scares were so tame that I didn’t realise they had actually happened.
For the game itself, I enjoyed it. Had a good story and some decent gameplay, sometimes I felt overwhelmed by these assholes though. I had to remind myself that Alan Wake is a writer and not an athlete, so I couldn’t run away from anything lol. There are some games releasing around AWII but I’ll definitely buy it buy it on sale.
Never considered Allen Wake as a Horror game more of a brilliant thriller/mystery game. I played it on my Xbox One last year with a copy of the 360 version, I enjoyed the cinematic charm of it and the music was bloody awesome! I had a few issues with the game play mainly on Alans movements but other than that it was engaging and enjoyable it really made me nostalgic for that era of gaming (the PS3/360 era). My 360 version came with a handy booklet too which is next to non excitant these days.
It was so good. Hearing Roy Orbison‘s In Dreams kick in when it did was just an absolutely perfect choice. Loved all the music in the game.
I was late to play it at first too because it seemed to advertise itself as a horror game. Glad I finally got around to playing it when I did though. I also get a bit bored of more narrative driven games (as in completely on rails, all story, little and repetit gameplay loop) but Alan Wake was an exception. It's a shame Remedy don't own Quantum Break and it couldn't be fit into the overall story along with Control.
Had a look on PS Plus to see if Control is there and it is. Downloading that now.
I like how Remedy has done the difficulty settings and wish more games would do it. Difficulty modes didn’t have shipped with the game but a patch was released to give the player assist settings. Can literally make Jesse invulnerable to dying and one shot kill enemies.Control is a weird game its fun but weird. Be mindful it can get very claustrophobic.
