Southern Saint Ali Brown has made history, becoming St Kilda’s first ever female footballer.

The 21-year-old put pen to paper last week, with the road to 2020 for the Saints’ AFLW program now officially underway.

Eight Saints have put pen to paper to extend their stays in red, white and black, including ex-Lion Kate McCarthy and co-captains Rhi Watt and Kate Shierlaw.

Shierlaw, Poppy Kelly, Tamara Luke, Ali Brown, Nadia von Bertouch and Clara Fitzpatrick have all signed one-year contract extensions.

All eight represented St Kilda throughout Season 2020, with Brown, Watt, Kelly, Fitzpatrick and Shierlaw graduates of the Southern Saints VFLW side.
