In about 4 or so weeks, there will be the Aboriginal All Stars match vs Essendon up here in Darwin. And over the past few matches Hawthorn players have performed very well with Bateman winning the B.O.G Medal and former hawk player Harry Miller also came second in the votes for the B.O.G.

So I am wondering will we see the likes of Bateman, Williams and Franklin playing up here?

And do you mind letting Hawthorn players representing their culture even with the risk of injury?

I don't mind, it's their choice and if they want to play then let them. Anyway as long as they own essendon I will be happy.

^ I'm sure they will, they pumped carlton and bulldogs in the past 2 games. I dont mind them playing because its an actual AFL game and its not a stupid hybrid sport.

Dont mind them playing at all if they wish. We get a little too caught up with protecting our players sometimes, they'll be right!! (tough wood, lol)

This will be a silly question prob but is Buddy Franklin Aboriginal?

What is wrong with you people?

You may have noticed that there are several threads on different boards about the Hawthorn vs Esssendon rivalry. And even though some essendon fans deny the fact that there is any rivalry, most Hawthorn fans hate essendon. You don't have to hate us back but we still hate you and take pleasure in seeing essendon lose.

Initial squad has been named, will be trimmed down to 28 players before the match, played on February 9.
