I've always enjoyed the Port v Essendon games even the preseason trial games the clubs use to have before Port entered the AFL.

I hope this is another good game and obivously I would love to see Port win, but still wish you guys/girls the best.

As I stated on our board I think Misiti and Cupido are the players that worry me the most. Misiti rediscovered his better form last week after some people questioned his performances, and Cupido has been very good up forward so far.

Apart from them 2 I am unsure about you other younger players who the rest of us haven't heard of much.

Shame Hird isn't fit and firing as normally Wanganeen has played on him and seeing 2 BM winners going toe-to-toe has normally been a highlight of these matches.

For Port I think Wangas, Peter and Shaun Burgoyne will be the players who will cause you the most problems. I think their pace and skills will trouble Essendon and I can't think of who Essendon will match up on them (although I admit to having knowledge of The Bombers players... maybe you could help me out)

Cheers anyway and All the Best.

Considering who we are missing I`m hoping for the same effort as last week. Problem is , that was hawthorn this is port. I`m not expecting to win but i want the same effort, if we get that then i will be happy...now i`m off to meet Porny at one of his watering holes.

hopefully the dons can play with the similiar passion as they did last week v the Dawks.

Matching up the Burgoyne's i'd say mark johnson and mark mcveigh would be a good fit? although mj's strength might be needed around the midfield. What about McPhee? Or Welsh? Screw it, put Hardwick on him :)

my prediction.. well.. it's a game of four quarters, and if we take it one week at a time, & put in 110%, i say the team that has scored the highest total of goals and points at the end of the day will walk away with the win.

I think I summed that up rather well.
Well done windy.

Oh Well,
Essendon Lost. :(

Was a good game,
Ess still fought hard but it was over when the 2nd free 50m was given. That dampend our hopes and lifted Ports.

:(

They lost, but up till the 15 minutes of the last quarter they were in there, Burgoyne has to go, for hitting Mercs in the head, when he was down.

While were on it, I'd just like to wish a venereal infection to that goal umpire that awarded that 'touched' point of Lucas'(?) . He can get ****ed.
