.. I played my last game of footy, which was a grand final against West Coburg in the U18's.

September 3rd, 2005

Finished on the wrong end of a 50 point margin, completely outplayed after being close at half time. But the day was one I won't forget in a hurry. Our reserves won in extra time against Taylor's Lakes after a massive brawl, then the seniors got up in a close one against West Coburg after a huge fight in the crowd. The game ended with the police helicopter circling Windy Hill.

Can't believe it was that long ago. Anybody else remember it?

Broomy laying out 3 blokes with 3 punches was the highlight!
He's still bragging about it 5 years later!

Yeah I watched the two's grand final and the brawl was massive. Right under the big crowd sitting in the Windy Hill stands. Changed the game as TL was going really well. Mark Crowe was red carded and the whole game swung in Crazyburns favour. Lucky he picked up a preimership a few years later. The final those two played a couple of weeks before was also very close.

I did actually witness it from the Grand Stand next to it. It wasn't a pretty site and don't condone the actions but both parties were goading each other from opposite stands, something was bound to happen. It put a damper on what was a great day of Footy with a huge crowd present.
