It's a rootkit virus, that makes it the worst kind. A rootkit sits at a level below the operating system so you can't actually remove it from within the operating system.

I had one once and did remove it completely. It was doing weird shit to Internet Explorer and I used the dependency list to track down the infected files. I found files which were running which weren't visible in the file system. Nothing to do with attributes they could never be seen in the operating system but the process explorer told me they existed. The rootkit was hiding them.

Those threads above run through the removal process. It's not easy and probably out of your league. If you can't follow instructions like those provided in that thread then you will have to re-install the operating system. But I recommend you give it a crack.

In a nutshell though you have to boot up the computer from a boot disk (CD/floppy/USB/Windows Recovery Mode) and perform the removal tasks from there.

Also that thing called ComboFix they mention, I would guess it's a package which is used to remove a number of common virus'.
