Hi does anyone know anything about this kid, he is on our list but i havent heard any mention of him.

Dont expect much from him but he's an incredibly hard worker. Probably why he got OP.

Andy Collins is the Coburg Coach

Andrew Collins is a midfielder/back pocket we picked up last year with our final pick 73 last year. Played in the Bendigo under/18 with Conners and Selwood I think but mainly as a backpocket.

Started in the Cobrug Ressies and then moved into the senior team before I think an ankle or soft tissue injury rulled him out for the last couple of months. Will probably be a project player like Casserly who needs a bit of extra time to develop alothough good signs that he cracked the Coburg seniors midfield in his first season - remmeber players like Patto, Polo and Casserly struggle to do this in there first year.

The thing that makes me hopeful about Andy is the first game that i watched him play. It was in the pre season games down in Geelong and Andy ran back into a pack to take a great mark, but in the process got crashed by King/Mooney (One of the big blokes), he got straight up and got on with it. He may never be a star but he is hard at it and will give himself every opportunity to make it at AFL level ala Chris Newman (I see him developing in a similar way to Chris also)

this is good to hear hope he gets his body right and gets a chance
