Nothing happened with Krakouer. His manager made some claim about him being worth 500k a year in the paper a couple of days ago but thats it. He's contracted for next year so no need to rush to get him re-signed.

Whats the go? I had a few mates messaging me today about him, can someone please explain?

Thanks
Jump onto the Herald/Sun website it is all explained there........basically, it is about longer contract and more money.......

Thanks for that. Gee, his manager must be a tosser considering we gave him a second chance to play at this level.

Funny his manager saynig this when Fasolo/Elliot/macaffer could be pushing Krakour outa the side possibly next year. maybe he knows this and wants a contract extension now as it will likely be higher than end of 2012?

At the end of next year if he doesn't get his $500 K with us I'm sure another side will pick him up at 28 29 years of age for that amount of coin.

But a club would be crazy to sign him on for that much. Coming towards the end of the career he isn't going to get any better.

If any club would be looking at him, it would be a club in the peak of their premiership window, or just heading into it. Possibly to give them the x factor and the creativity to make them just that little bit better.

A club in their premiership window, however, would be very lucky to have 500k to spend on the one player, especially when the money could be spent on more talented, younger players.

I do think it is just his management stirring up shit. Surely Kraks can be paid a little more, but no need to be paid as much as (or more) say a Pendlebury or a Swan.

If the rest of the team are prepared to get paid under their worth for the good of the playing group, then so should Kraks.

I understand that he is basically on a minimum wage at the moment, and he probably will get a pay rise in his next contract, just not the same level of a pay rise that his management are trying to get.

Let them, we have younger players to replace him :)

I just read my post and I can see it looked serious. I was being sarcastic his manager must be off his head to think he would command anything near $500. To be honest he would be lucky to be pick up at all next if we gave him the chop.
