why can't he play ff or chf? lloyd does for essendon, and he is around the same height, mackie is taller by a cm. i know he's not big and strong enuf yet, but is it a possibilty for maybe say next year? can he kick goals?

I doubt Mackie will ever play as a permanent KPP for Geelong. He is a more tall midfielder or flanker than a CHF or FF. Given his body size, it will be a long time before he is even capable of playing a Key Position. Perhaps he could develop into a James Hird type player? i.e. drift across half forward, half back, and play as a tallish midfielder. Certainly has the capacity to develop into a Hird-like player IMO.

KP Flank, i dont care at the moment , just put him in and lets just see if he can play. Im sick of the BlahBlah to light, blahBlah protect th kids etc. Ablett played his first game in the first game of his first year.If a first round draft pick has not played by the 2nd year, he should not have been a first round pick.PUT HIM IN

Mackie doesn't have the size, strength or aggression to play KP.

Is and always will be a flanker-cum-midfielder.
