Andrew Mackie

I had Mackie on my list of players to trade at the end of 2006. He is playing better than I ever expected to see from him. I think that he could be a better player if he had a good summer in the gym. The added strength for body contests and marking would make him an even better defender.

I think he wis being moulded to take Darren Milburns spot.

Can take a key tall if need be, can float around, will run off his man and take a mark infront of a contest, mops up, is a link through the midfield and can play forward if need be.

I think its called a Utility :)

That's a good observation.

I agree, similar playing style, lean physique, fast across the midfield, hard at the ball and his disposal is also very good atm.

Had some doubts about whether he could make it also.. glad he proved me wrong :thumbsu:

I now think:"Thank God, the ball is is Andrew Mackie's hands. He'll do something productive." He has continued to improve this year. Another of ours who had tickets on himself last year but we can safely put that behind us. Great contributor in an even side.:thumbsu:

Good thinking. Tend to agree.

Mackie is turning into a great player. Even more helpful is that he is deceptively tall yet moves well. He also has good skills.

getting better but still not 100% hard at the ball. Not like Dasha anyway...however I havent seen him squib out in a while so he is getting the big :thumbsu: for me on that front.

I never doubted skill, etc. For me it was always his courage.
