Count the dozens of basic errors committed by both sides. This is pressure, plus wet, plus the wind. Drop Chapman. Drop Selwood. Drop Ling. Drop Podsiadly. Drop everyone who has made a few basic errors this game and we won't have a team to field next week. lol
Lonergan has run out twice and left the goals unattended, resulting in one goal and a near one. Drop him, bulldoze his house, and put him in jail, huh? Menzel missed a sitter. Sack him.
Patience. Do we have the fitness to keep going? Hope so.

Mackie has been in the spotlight lately, OK? Well, if you want to highlight his mistakes tonote, and ignore the multitudes of everyone else's gofor it. Pods is a most unreliable kick for goal. Prolly the worst in the team. What about Varcoe's hospital pass to Chapman when we were streamiing down the field. Drop them all, I say!

no dude, try watching the game
Mackie's only big mistake was that weak marking attempt, he played a decent game, hit up some leads in the forward 50 and his kicking was good
Hunt's risky kick out of defense that was short of the mark near the end of the game was much worse
Mackie didn't play the best but he was better than most.
Trav Varcoe and Hawkins should be getting a lot more attention.

Mackie at most contests was piss weak.
Hunt was far better.
Guarantee the masses will support my view over yours cynical.
Hawk and Trav were ordinary, especially Hawk again. Agree with that.

Mackie took all the kick ins and did very well. Then it was handed to superboot who showed just what a tough job it is by floating one.
Mackie makes mistakes but if we count all the mistakes in this game it will be a big number. Pressure plus wet ball = hard work.

Went back with the flight and took a key mark late. He's obviously struggling with confidence but I thought he was alright.
Not a big fan of Josh Hunt either but he was one of our best tonight, IMO.

I thought Varcoe was terrible, but in fairness to the highlighted bit, I was only watching on telly so they didn't show downfield to Geelong's goals. I got the distinct impression that there musn't have been anyone in front of them. It was a hospital handball, but Chapman took the hit and at the stage of the game it ate up valuable time. Intentional or otherwise it worked out well in the end.
He was too far out to score so if he bombed it long it's an easy turnover to Collingwood and they have plenty of time to keep possession, move it to the other end, score a goal and win the game.

Guys, that was a dirty weather, high mistake riddled game. When you are watching it and someone who you think is lucky to get a game stuffs up, its natural to carry on. I did. lol
But all the boys tried their guts out today.

You're kidding aren't you? Most is more than half. I can remember a couple of poor contests (including the dropped mark) but I remember far more good contests - beating Didak in the goal square, coming across a pack to mark, dropping back into a pack to provide a contest. I'm not saying he was our best player but to make a sweeping statement like that without supporting your argument is exactly what you are accusing Mackie of being.
Sure the dropped mark was poor but so was Enright's, Selwood's missed shots etc etc, but I don't see anyone bagging them. Have another look at the game and look for the good things Mackie did - there were a lot!!!

Yep, no argument from me. That mistake that directly cost us a goal was pathetic. Lazy effort at marking (just for a change), then when he spilled it, an even worse attempt at tackling followed by his now standard falling over.
Big worry I have about him and Josh Hunt in pressure games is they make basic mistakes that cost us goals. Confirmed and underlined tonight, and we were lucky to escape.

Everyone made mistakes tonight, I thought it was a very even effort all round. No point in trying to single out players for criticism, we just beat the reigning Premier and extended our _undefeated_ start to the season. Single players out for praise, surely, but not criticism.
