Yeah a couple of times in the early days he played there. Remember him lining up on Locket a couple of times in '99 as well.

Was a great defender, in my opinion should still be on the list, isnt still on the list. That may well turn out a good move for the club, I sure hope it does.

Can't recall how often AK got plugger, but I do recall Duncan copping Dunstall Ablett Lockett in consecutive games - tough gig.

I think AK was heading overseas with Caulfield Grammarians hopeful of getting him down at some point in the season. I'm not sure if Duncan is playing with them again this year as he received some work offers that would keep him busy on a saturday.

Some of you complain that we should have completely cut down the list after the 2004 and 2005 seasons and started from scratch, yet when a real decision is made on an old dime a dozen defender suddenly it's too hard to take.

I thought you wanted to play the kids?

A lot of you guys have said you'd rather see what they're made of even at the expense of losing a couple of games, just like Hawthorn have done.

Maybe one lose is so unbearable you want instant success again, soon some of you will be hanging out for Kingsley to come back and make an immediate impact

BUT WHEN YOU DONT RECRUIT DEFENDERS THERES NO OTHER ****ING OPTIONS IS THERE!!!

We recruited a defender - we just had to play Polak in the ruck. We also had Hall (who could have taken Whitnall) out and Thursfield not ready. We played J.Bowden, Moore, McGuane and Gaspar. Pat Bowden is underdone. JON might have been an option for Fisher or Waite ... but he isn't ready. Casserley played FB against Frankston in a final ... but he is coming back from injury. Schulz is an option but he was up forward because Hughes and Reiwoldt aren't ready. Even Pattison could have stood Whitnall if Simmonds had been available.

And for all that it wasn't Fev, Whitnall, Waite, Fisher, Kennedy that beat us. They got 8 goals and one of Waite's was a chancy boundry line snap.

You could add 2 dozen more defenders to the list and reduce that 8 goal total to 6-7. We still would have lost.

We got thumped in the middle and Andy Kellaway wouldn't have been able to do the first thing about that.

Our make-shift fullback conceeded 3 to one of the best forwards in the league. This proper fullback you want comes in and conceeds 2. It just doesn't change things.

Setanta keeping Richo quiet didn't win them the game. The midfielders did.

You could put Mal Michael and Ben Rutten in that Richmond side on the weekend and the key forwards are still going to kick 6 ... and we still lose.
