Been reading on pocket fives that he's been outed (by Imper1ium of all people) as being only 16 years old.

His ranking has been taken down and am also not quite sure as to what his status is in regards to playing any more future events.

Created a bit of a s**t storm apparantly.

Why should he get banned? They never did anything to Annette_15. She won the WSOPE a few months back at 18. Gee, maybe she was playing online before she was 18!

And I don't believe Andy McLeod (ie. James Obst) is still 16. What, he's been 16 for how many years now?

Think he's got 9 months to go until he's 18.

Pretty ordinary behaviour from all concerned IMO.

Andy should never have bitched about Imper1um taking advantage of him when he was on tilt HOWEVER
that is small fry compared to Imp multi-accounting (allegedly) a la JJ Prodigy etc.

That is cheating pure and simple.

Big shock. Yeah, like other online pros didn't start playing before 18. They just happened to be really good when they became legal.

Kinda low on Sorel's behalf to drag someone into his mess just because of a past beef.

as much as sorel was an arse for outing him, online poker is illegal for people under 18. OK so others got away with it, doesn't mean online poker sites can openly do nothing once it is made ultra pubic

wonder if he got his funds seized

If the account is in his name, then he would have fraudently stated that he was over 18.
I think then the sites would have a good case to take the monies off him.

If its in his parents name, there is nothing they can do.

This whole multi accounting thing stinks and I'm sure that Sorel is not the only big name who does it. You won't see me playing a Sunday million for a while or at least until the sites start making an attempt to clean everything up.

I'm not defending people playing under 18 - I think that should be cracked down on, but I do think it's ridiculous that someone's personal information is leaked so publicly for trivial reasons.

That said, if I had the choice of having my money taken by an underage player legitimately, or by someone multi-accounting, or "buying" accounts, I think I'd prefer the former.
