Seeing as you responded nicely...

Blake was taken pick 44, and has been going steadily, if not amazingly at Box Hill.

He was drafted as a forward, but seems to have been trained, at least in part, as a small defender. It seems the coaches see something in him suited to that role. Or with Breust, Cyril and Poppy still going strong, they explored other avenues to utilising him.

Again, sound form at Box Hill in the backline, but nothing amazing.

His game at the weekend has pleasantly surprised a lot of people. Strong build, good decision making, strong kick, courageous. If he keeps that sort of game going, he'll be a best 22 player by the end of this year

If Clarko finally got a result he wanted after a week of punching on with journos and commentators ... then ... he'll probably plan to do it again at some stage of 2017. Look out.

It is rather amusing how thin skinned the footy journalists are. I have a friend in the journalism industry (non-footy) and he's commented how soft they are. Like to turn up the oven but can't take any heat themselves. He comments that the political beat is the same. Traditional news beats are unimpressed...

Because you've been polite, I choose to respond:
Clarko never criticises Caro: it's too risky and only encourages her.

On the other hand, he's "made peace" with Carey as a way of saying "Caro's article is bullsh*t, Wayne Carey and I are great mates!"

He's a smart man, Clarko!
