Shame, shes getting better looking as she ages. Will concentrate full time on baby making. Show jumped the shark a while ago:

It's official! No more Friends for clucky Jen

Jennifer Aniston has announced she will not return for a 10th series of Friends because she wants to start a family with husband Brad Pitt. There is now serious doubt over the future of the popular show, with experts predicting it could be the end.

It has been said there will not be another series of the hit comedy unless all six cast members sign on. Producers have reportedly attempted to lure the stars back by offering them $2.3 million per episode.

But it seems no amount of money will persuade millionaire Jen to put her baby plans on hold. "In my mind, I'm done," she has told US mag . "I want to start my family." Having won an Emmy for her role in Friends this year, and with several film projects in the pipeline, it seems Jen feels she no longer needs the sitcom to keep her in work.

weren't they gonna stop making them soon, or something?

im sure thats what they said on ET... maybe it was just jennifer aniston then.

but that IS a shame, its a fantastic show!!!

Good.
Loved the first few seasons but the last few have been terrible, boring and predictable. Too many references to the past are brought up. Christ how many skeletons can you have?

Time to end it...

Damn.
Well it will continue getting even worse.
And those arrogant pr*ck's money per show will go up even more.

Agree on the arrogance front. Watched it religiously 3 years ago, could not be bothered these days. Good to see Malc in The Middle out rate it.

NBC Says: You Gotta Have 'Friends'
December 24, 2002

Just how Friendly can a network get? Ask NBC. They'll be shelling out $10 million per episode for a 10th season of its "Must See TV" hit "Friends" -- making it the most expensive primetime show in TV history.

The return of JENNIFER ANISTON, MATTHEW PERRY, LISA KUDROW, MATT LeBLANC, COURTENEY COX and DAVID SCHWIMMER gives the network a one-year reprieve to try and find a hit comedy to fill that slot. Previous Thursday night hit sitcoms have included "The Bill Cosby Show," "Cheers" and "Seinfeld."

According to the Daily Variety Web site, the negotiations will not result in a pay hike for the six stars, who are currently earning in the very nice neighborhood of $1 million an episode.

Last July, executive producer MARTA KAUFFMAN told reporters, "We would have to know right now if we were going to continue. It can't be a last-minute decision."

But JEFF ZUCKER, president, NBC Entertainment, responded that he wasn't 100 percent sure it was the series' last season, and advised fans not to "put the nails in the coffin yet."

When Aniston, who won a Best Actress Emmy for last season, and a few of the other "Friends" mentioned that they were sad the show was ending and wouldn't mind continuing, the network jumped at the chance to prolong the still-popular series.

Negotiations began. In addition to biting the financial bullet, the one concession made by the network was its willingness to accept 18 new episodes instead of the normal slate of 22.

I had heard rumours they were going to offer the job to replace her to Reese Witherspoon who played her sister in a couple of episodes, while I would start watching the show again and would enjoy seeing her on a show every week, it would be a horrible career move for her I reckon, everyone would just compare the show to before she was on it if it failed. I think the shows a crock of **** anyway

I've hardly seen the show since I got pay-TV and have wall-to-wall sports channels 24/7, but the show needs all 6 to make it work. Take Rachel out and it wouldn't work.
