A total waste of money getting to the game and having to fly back to be back at work tomorrow.

For Gods sake Roos get rid of the minders its a dud idea and Maxfield played better but did little with a lot of his disposals. He appears to be trying to hard.

It doesnt say much for leadership skills if you play well and the team play badly - its what I have always thought - Maxfield couldnt motivate a girls basketball team.

If Kell had played and had 27 possessions - I think he may have got them closer and maybe they could have won. In my opinion Maxfield is a total loss. Stu doenst appear to have the physical stature to be a Captain and its time to bring on Goodes and put Maxfield back where he belongs as a player only.

You know its a funny thing about Stu but he wasnt there playing last year when Sydney had that purple patch under Roos, he was on the sidelines and now with a not too dissimilar list (minus Kells) we have a badly ( in my opinion) led side .


Manuka is the crunch time!!!!!They will need to be doing better by then.

I can't believe you're having a go at Maxfield, he was IMO the best player out there for us. How about 2 goals to show for his efforts? My view on the loss is that we were thrashed around the ball-ups and throw-ins. Ball and Goodes were some of our better players on the day, but they are not true ruckmen. You only have to look at the stats to see this.

3 games is a bit premmie to call time on someone's job!! While I agree Maxfield needs to step up a bit - his form has been disappointing this season - it's hardly time to panic yet. It's pointless comparing him to Kelly, there is not a single player on our list who compares at the moment. Goodes has been great, but he has a lot of responsibility right now, shouldering most of the ruckwork, and STILL appears distracted at times on-field. If he ever gets consistency, he will win Brownlow medals, and more than one!

This year will sort out who's right for the job, and who's going to be turfed out at season's end. Sadly, I fear a lot of our list is simply making up the numbers.

I am not criticising him as a player although I think he is overrated, what I am disgusted with is that he has failed to lead Sydney.

So yes he had 27 possessions but if Kells had had the same number of possessions in a match - I think Sydney would have got a lot closer or pushed it right to the line. Adelaide ran out of steam about 2/3rds of the way through the 3rd quarter and they got there on skill and professionalism at the end. Maxfield is not inspiring his players to greater heights.

He needs to be replaced with Williams or Goodes and as soon as possible.
