With geelong just picking up nathan ablett and all the other father/sons this year. i started to wonder, does richmond have any good father/son picks in the future?

Crunch year for Kym Monteath next year at East Freo, has stated about a year ago now his desire to follow in his dad's footsteps and play at Richmond.

Time will tell

Good luck next season Kym, hope to see you in a tiger jumper at the years end.

Rhys is the older brother, he isnt upto AFL standard unfortunately.

Does anybody remember the reason why Bruce Monteith left us after 1980 anyway?

I think he was only 25 when he finnished with us and went back to WA.

Seemed strange at the time!!!!

Then i remember him resurfacing when he was part of the WA State of Origin team that creamed the Vics in 1986.

I have some distant memories of him playing and they are good ones.

As far as father-sons go, I'm hoping the 1980 premiers have been breeding like rabbits, because the gene pool for father-sons is going to be pretty limited for the next 20 years after that.

I think injuries got the better of him.

Can't speak for the Tigers, but I guess the Canterbury Bulldogs rugby league side will be doing a lot of recruiting around Coffs Harbour in about 20 years.
I will pay that one .....LMAO

Which gets me thinking , does anyone think there will be Campbells or Daffy`s running around down the track ?

I believe both are still single, so barring illegitimate love children (like Ian Wright's two sons in the EPL) you'd doubt it.
