Any rookies ever been promoted at Collingwood?

Other than Nick Maxwell, have any other rookies ever been promoted in the last decade? Any gone on to do any good?

Does this say anything about our rookie policy, or a need for a new one?

Betheras wasnt actually on the rookie list at the pies. He was on the rookie list at freo and we picked him up in one of the drafts.

Yep all prior. I'm pretty sure the only boys MM has promoted have been Maxwell, Crow and Leonard.

Crow is gone, but Maxwell and Zane will be around in 5 years, make no mistake.

Crow was delisted because he'd had his two years on the rookie list, and Collingwood decided not to elevate him.

The fact is, you talk about the MM stranglehold, but a majority of rookie-listed players don't ever make it onto that team's list. It's not like we'd had a heap of absolute guns on our rookie list anyway.

I'd be more concerned about who turns out any good from our standard list. If someone comes through the rookie list and ends up being a good player it is a bonus.
