Does anyone know what the buisness model for the Crows moving to AO has said the extra profit is going to be? Surely even our stupid admin and board would not have signed onto AO without been shown some guarentees of how much extra money we are going to make.
And surely they wouldn't have signed up to AO without releasing this info to its members?

It's none of our business HOW they make money, as long as they do.

We don't know the ins & outs of the AAMI Stadium model, so why do you think we are entitled to the AO one?

I believe that there is an expectation that income generated from corporate sales and sponsorship will be significantly higher.

I simply don't know what DD the club did nor the negotiations about moving, but from what I can understand the SANFL said we are moving, so we are moving.

but i relation to the Crows business model, you would think the Club would have some idea how this is going to be more profitable for them.

I'm certain the club does.

From my understanding, the Adelaide Crows will have far more opportunities to sell the extra corporate boxes at the Adelaide Oval than what there is at AAMI Stadium now and this is where the next income will come from.

From memory, I thinking there is 20 corporate boxes at AAMI - at the Adelaide Oval they will have 32.

At $125,000 each - that's the extra income the club is banking on.

The price of 125,000 is for when there is 20 boxes. That wont be the price when there is 32 on the market.
I have a fear that this move will be of very little extra income for us. And if that is the case then DD was not done.
Port are gonna get screwed at AO. They cant sell their corp boxes as it stands.

No, it's for the Adelaide oval.

Because that's should be open. I can find out exactly what the Crows have at AAMI and also what other clubs have at their grounds. This isn't covered under national secrets act you now. If things are not above board how do we know if there isn't corruption going on? Or are you for that so long as a profit is shown?

So around twice the price of Etihad boxes? And they think they are going to find 32 companies who are going to pay $125,000 for 12 home games?
http://corporatesuites.etihadstadium.com.au/casual-corporate-suites

Where did you get the $60,000 figure from?

22 AFL games x $7800 = $171,600

Or even

22 AFL games x $3500 = $77,000

but then you add the extra stuff the Adelaide Oval has that the Dome doesn't - like Test Cricket, ODI, T20 and other stuff and it become a very good product.

The AFC is only going to rent out boxes to its games. Port will rent them out for their games and SACA for the cricket. So the only package AFC can offer corporates is home games, not even finals.

I understand that, that wasn't the point of the discussion.

I asked you, how did you come up with the figure you did for the Edihad Stadium being half the price of the Adelaide Oval?

I assumed it was $127,000 just for crows matches and compared it to the casual hire rate at Etihad.

so we've moved stadium for an extra $1M per annum?

I believe we were very reluctant to move unless the deal was significantly better. I'm not sure we had much of a say in the end.

STA should make A quid, do we get any?

No we moved to AO because Vlad said we are moving there.
Vlad said (before Anderson quit)the drug policy worked..

Its not worth a rolls eyes emoticon

Nah, this whole thread is a thinly veiled attempt to try to discredit the AFC management rather than find facts.

I know, I was being facetious :D

You would have thought, being the biggest income generators for football in the state, and our track record of groveling to the AFL, we would have had a bit more of a indication of the whole thing.

I do remember hearing of discussion between the AFL and SACA, but I thought our esteemed board would have had enough contacts to work out it was going on, clearly I was wrong and should have called triggy myself.
