hope not... carlton v collingwood is the only game big enough in its own right not to need a public holiday / dreamtime type promotion

leave it to richmond to replace essendon they are trying v hard to be a big club these days

I did a little more but unfortunately deleted it....Carlton v Essendon was the consistent 3rd biggest draw card.....Hawthorn v Geelong was next from memory (Carlton v Richmond draws well first game, but poorly on return clash)......would expect Richmond games to now start rising significantly, they do pull well when up and going.

The Anzac game atmosphere is an absolutely unique experience. I would love for Carlton to have that.
