G'day all,

I have a job interview comming up which includes a Aptitude Assessment + Medical Test.

I have never had an aptitude test before, for these that have, what can I expect? Is this some sort of IQ/Intelligence test? I heard it is done to find out what kind of person you are ie: smart, your personallity etc...

Should I prepare myself somehow?

Thanks.

If you are of passable intellegence you should be able to fake the test pretty easily.

Tests of this type are designed to discover how you go about problem solving, working in a group, handling stress, showing responsability, what type of leader you are etc.

99% of employers think they want caring, sharing, self-motivated, consenus-based types who do nothing without hugging their work colleagues and idealising the customers.

Once you know what they want the rest is easy. Ohh and when they say there are no right or wrong answers ... rubbish.

These tests are great! Thank you very much!

"Way to go! According to this test, your communication skills are very good. You manage to get your point across in a clear, concise way and are also able to listen to others and understand where they're coming from." :D
