Wasn't huge on them prior to this, but since Josh Homme was producing it, I knew I had to check it out and I'm digging it. Dangerous Animals is totally QOTSA, and I love it.
For those who know where to look they have also released a recorded version of Nick Cave's "Red Right Hand" which they played at the BDO and their sideshows. It's wicked.
Got the album on friday, the day it came out i think. It took me a while to get into it, now i can't stop listening. Crying lightning is my fav although i did listen to it about 30-40 times on youtube before the album was released. Not as good as their first IMO, but still bloody awesome. One of the best bands out there for sure.
Just bought the album on Thursday, and gave it my first listen last night. Very impressive I'll have it on heavy rotation for the next couple of weeks I reckon.
Something about it sounds very familiar to another band I've heard before. And no, it's not the much-discussed Black Sabbath influence, nor the Josh Homme production. Just can't pick it, but is sounds very familiar. Not a bad thing of course!
Annouced that 'Cornerstone' will officially be their next single released, the lyrics are quite brilliant and i cant stop listening to it....just amazing.
Also check out the video clip its worth a laugh, mustve costed about $5 to put together haha
Think I'm gonna have to buy this one. Pretty Visitors is my favourite. Its certainly a very solid album, so solid that its almost like the songs lose value as singles, I think they need to be listened to in the context of the whole album.
