Are the boys allowed to wear helmets?

hey guys, was just wondering if the league allows players to wear helmets. i've never seen anyone wear a helmet in a game so i'm not sure.

i'm not even sure if they're worth wearing:

Was not that long ago that Collingwood donated helmets to Roxburgh Park for every junior team to wear , lots of juniors wear them

Give the kids a little bit more confidence , have to help if they cop a head high , Jury is out

They make a huge difference in that they cushion the skull and prevent serious injuries like skull fractures. They may not reduce the risk of brain injuries such as concussions as the brain will still impact against the skull wall but the cushioning of the helmet reduces the severity. Overall they are better than not having one at all.
