Haven't seen today's game and only got the odd score, but it didn't sound like we were really competitive.

If we can't beat the Tigers who many don't see as final 8 material, nor Melbourne which is probably marginal final 8 material, then our season looks bleak.

Look forward to your usual high calibre comprehensive game reports.

Also look forward to any sensible ideas/changes for next week against the Dons.

There's still no accountability. Melbourne just kept waltzing it through the midfield easily. They had time to spot leading targets and their forwards marked stongly and kicked straight. We simply have too many players that are either lazy or think that picking up your man means being within 10m of them rather than 1m.

A frustrating day. The umpires didn't impact the result but it doesn't help the margin when they picked the Melbourne forward lne to pay all their shockers.

Can't see the point playing Wiggo if he doesn't get enough ground time to get warm.

Bandy played a shocker again. Lazy and out of form.

Bassett did nothing to make me think he'll be an asset down back.

Kretta lmped off in the 2nd and wasn't even on the bench after that.

Hargrave was poor again. On the couple of occasions he was in front, he let his man slip in front too easily. Couldn't get his hands on a punch all day.

Eagle struggled when on. Unless he gets it in space he simply lacks the tricks to get the ball out to someone when in traffic.

Garlick did nothing again.

Darcy got it a bit when all on his own playing as a midfielder but was pretty useless in contested situations.

I have already let my frustration out in another thread but a few of my thoughts :

I know Grant's absence has thrown the team balance off a bit but I think Rohde may have made a mistake by playing some blokes well out of position. Hahn should've played his usual role in the middle with Dimma as the support andCrofty probably should have played back right from the start. Murphy was pretty good in the midfield for us though. It just appeared to me that a few of the players were a lost and worried about making mistakes. At one stage Hahn, Wiggins and McMahon were on the bench, in a game where we need HEIGHT, STENGTH and PACE three of our best prospects were on the bench, Wiggins was hardly given a chance. Just let him play the square at FF and take some pressure of Browny for crying out loud.

kritters is obviously in bad shape and struggling - we are undermanned enough without having one of our best defnders on the bench stopping a Harris from getting some experience and taking a position in defence to add a bit height. Give the bloke a week or two off and let him try and get his body right so that we can actually use him.

Robbins was the only player to attack the ball with any real intensity, the rest were very ordinary. He was rarely beaten in a contest in a game where most of his team mates never even got to the contests.

Shaggy was in poor form again today, made a few poor decisions and really strugled to play his defensive role. Had there been a bit of leadership out there telling him what to do things may have been different.

The team just didn't delver what Rohde has been promising in terms of accountability, physicallity and intensity.

I really don't believe that Wiggins is the answer, although he didn't have a lot of time on the ground, when he did he was ineffectual.

I think Bowden might be a better option at FF or Bandy (he certainly isn't doing anything at CHF).

Simply put we are not good enough and undermanned.

We must play Skipper, McGuiness, Harris and Faulkner, we can't do any worse than today.

I'd also give Nick Bruton a go up forward to give us some extra height there

It wasnt that we were not competitive its that we give away 5 goal starts and then think we are going to catch up and go on with the game.
