I don't know why people rate Richmond so low eg. 16th, and teams like Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton so high.

Simply because we haven't shown enough. I'm not sure Melbourne is rated high but Essendon have had a good pre season. Carlton believe that now that they have Judd that they will be unbeatable but soon will be brought back down to earth. I believe Richmond will come before Carlton and Melbourne with the Dees coming last.I don't know why people rate Richmond so low eg. 16th, and teams like Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton so high.

Spot on champFrom something I posted in another thread:
"Hmm, let's see....
Where did we finish last year - juuuuuuuuust missed the 8.
Beaten by eventual premiers by 150 points.
Our B&F was won by the oldest player on the list.
Our No 1 ruckman is recovering from a) broken ankle b) life-threatening heart condition.
Our best midfielder in the last 6 years is recovering from his second knee op. "
Carlton blatantly tanked last year- and finished above us.
As Aragorn says in Lord of the Rings - "There is always hope!".
Mind you, he had a magic sword, a wizard, and a couple of armies on his side.
We need to show something before other supporters worry about us. Hoepfully, we will.
