I am lead to believe that a couple of big name Rupertswood players won't be running around this year, and a couple down to the last cut in getting on VFL lists

L. Brennan and T. West ???, waiting on confirmation but i am lead to believe that they have been offered cricket contracts overseas.

Anyone from Rupertswood able to confirm ?

Opens the door for Ormond and Ajax i would have thought.

Dann will be a loss, as he looked to be one of the few shining lights in 2007. Can't say I know too much of the other two though.

Sausage they would be who i was referring to as making the vfl list, news just in - you can throw one of kingbrowns boys down at geelong aswell, rupo may struggle to make the finals let alone push out of c grade, maybe a chance gone begging their 4pt loss pre lim day last year ??

We have always had players trying out at VFL, we support that strongly, the Yarrawonga connection is a mystery and may have merit, however i must say 19 year olds playing for ridiculous amounts of money at a club they have no history with is a recipe for disaster, mainly in two areas enjoyment and development, expectation becomes all important and there performance is scrutinized IMO over the top.

Can't agree with the 19 year old sentiments. I played under 19's with a mate who bagged 140 goals in '99 and he has chased the almighty dollar since being lured by it at an early age. In nearly 10 years he's gone from an U/19 at HR to the Western region to the Riddell FL and as far as the Cairns AFL and seems to have enjoyed each experience.
