So there it is, the Lazarus Pit exits. Who else thinks that eventually we're going to start seeing superpowers more often on this show. Hard to ignore what's happening with the flash and I'm sure the spin off show with the atom and firestorm etc has generated a lot of buzz. Not saying Arrow's going to get some but maybe some villains or even a team member. Thoughts?
Most of his enemies don't have powers, that being said if the atom (looks like he'll be like iron man) hangs around and seeing the success of the flash there should more superpowered foes instead of being outnumbered by hoods and assassins all the time.

In hindsight it was a mistake making Merlyn Thea's dad, should have just left him as a recurring villian and Oliver's arch enemy. He will go back to that when they give up on this family issues rubbish unless he gets killed off.

I always got the impression that this show only operates in hindsight and not foresight.

Read somewhere (not sure if true) but a few of Arrow's top writers from last season moved over to work on The Flash this season. If that is true, you can definitely see the gulf created by the loss of the writers.

That being said, I think Arrow (or at least I hope) could have strong (compared to what has been dished up so far) finish to the season. First half of the season definitely felt off but now that (seemingly) they've revealed the big bad guy for season 3 in Ra's, now they can 'hopefully' write the show with more direction and purpose.

What was up with Shado appearing in the flashback? With the confirmed existence of the Lazarus pit, I wonder if they will bring any deceased characters back (Tommy, Moira, Sara)? The show could use a boost with some interesting supporting characters.

Need to find a way to involve Slade again more regularly too.

Agree that we need more Ray Palmer stuff.

I get the feeling Malcolm will 'become' a good guy in the next few eps and may end up dying in the finale or something.

Malcolm should just join the team. They're going to need him against Ra's anyway and he's a damn good character. Former league of assassins member for crying out loud and he barely gets in a fight.

Oh and while we're adding league of assassins members you can throw Nyssa in there as well. Would be very happy with that for obvious reasons.

by the way i nearly fell off my bed when Ollie shot his arrow to the sky after helping out the police station, what an exit

This season has some of the most LOL/face palm moments

Felicity to Ray: "I just connected the virtual TCP to the open source sensor"

Seriously? :$

One of those classic examples of the writers just chucking together some technical jargon to make it sound clever and hope Joe Public doesn't know any better.

Can you not connect your virtual TCP to your open source sensor? Cause if your having trouble i know someone who can help.

Whats the thoughts on this week's ep?

Ollie should've tapped Cupid.
More scenes with L.O.A / Maseo would've been nice
atom is pretty cool

Episode was pretty average, felt like a filler/build up for next week..

Did they kill off deadshot off due to suicide squad movie? Or he's somehow still alive

Cupid is so hot.

Deadshot was definitely killed off because of the movie. Which is a shame as I liked this portrayal, corporate politics are so stupid.
His story still had a bit of legs with the HIVE arc, also makes me think Diggle definitely isnt leaving now that this has been re-introduced.

Hopefully we now get to see Deathstroke in future suicide squad episodes.

Maseo wtf man, was my fav character this season. The side characters are better than the main characters these days, except for Ray Ralmer he is a douche.

Actually Diggle is still pretty good.

Didn't mind that ep though there have been better.

Not sure Deadshot is gone for good - I get the feeling he 'could' still come back at a later date (unless DC/WB say he's now off limits with the movie coming out next year), I mean the guy survived an arrow to the eye didn't he?

Just on the Suicide Squad, would have been nice to see Bronze Tiger again or maybe some of the other villains from this season like Komodo or even Captain Boomerang (though he has also been cast in the movie I think so maybe is also off limits?).

Thought the wedding could have been done a bit better - seemed to gloss over it pretty quickly/came across as pretty generic.

Nice to see Atom finally start fighting - looks like he could be the 'Iron man' of the DC TV universe. Wonder if he will help Ollie and co in the big final battle that is seemingly being built up towards for the finale.

Only major 'WTF' moment this week (after last week's flying off into the night sky) was Ollie walking off after his fight with Palmer. Did he forget Roy got fried like crispy bacon??? :D

He needed to be dramatic. Forget Roy, it was all about making a lasting impression.

Hes done it twice now.
The arrow to the gods.
The Terminator walk away.

There's going to be a TV Flash and a movie Flash at the same time. I'd say deadshot was killed so the suicide squad can live up to their name.

Much better episode IMO. So good to see The Atom finally in action. I love that even when Arrow goes up against superpowers he holds his own.

Well it worked for me, completely forgot about Roy! Who by the way is becoming more useless by the week.

Whereas for me Roy was about the only character that worked during Oliver's winter getaway.... but anyway after tonight's episode I think the show has lost me, I'll keep watching and see what happens but somewhere back at the beginning of this thread I was wondering about how it would handle superpowers and imo it just hasn't, either with the writing or the special effects and with more shows on the horizon CW seem to have gone full overload and pushed Arrow over the top a good season or two earlier than it might have done.

Not sure anyone cares but Amell has been cast as Casey Jones in the TMNT sequel.

Good thing he doesnt mind being typecast.
I think statistically it's better to be typecast if you are realistic about how much talent you have because an actors career can derail and there are so many that probably found some fame and then moved on and got no where after that and yearn for their old role that gave them so much, Mark Hamill comes to mind although he has found a pretty good career as the Joker's voice in Batman cartoons.
