Good card of racing @ Ascot today, with the W.A Guineas the highlight. The Lee Steere stakes is a good lead up to the Railway Stakes, which is run in 2 weeks. I will try to find a few winners for us!

Race 1- No 1 Redronson

Tough race with a lot of first starters, Im sticking with the race experience of the topweight.Harvey on board is a big plus.

Race 2 -No 9 Wongkaew

Has ability & suited by the drop back to 1200m. The top two will dominate the betting but Im prepared to go on an each way basis with this filly.

Race 3 - No 12 The Black Pig

Gone very wide here, quoted @ $21. This horse has been crying out for the 2400m & a senior rider.Still a maiden but last few runs have been better than they look on paper & will run well @ big odds.

Race 4 No 1 Calico Blue

Smart type who was a moral beaten last start.Has the 57kg to contend with but has the class to win.

Race 5 No 3 Cape North

Resuming today for the Fred Kersley stable & goes well fresh.

Race 6 No 2 Scenic Shot

Top win on Melb Cup day & certain to be a key player in the Railway & Fruit N Veg Stakes. Has the steadier of 58kg but will be charging home.

Race 7 No 4 Kenviel

Won only start @ the mile & flooded home last start over the 1400m. Vain Crusader will be short priced fav & tough to beat but on an each way basis, I am leaning to Kenviel.

Race 8 No 12 Belle Bizzare

Back from a stint in Melb where she was consistent in group races without winning. Drawn well & with Harvey in the saddle, looks the one to beat.

Race9 No 2 Charlie Beau
Going for four wins on the trot & flying @ the moment. Related to the gun sprinting mare Miss Andretti & has acquired some of her class. Looks the one to beat.

Just got a call from a mate who is @ the track @ Ascot & said there is a HUGE tip around for a 1st starter in Race 1 called Kopek ( Number 7)

The word is that she is pretty smart & is paying around $7 on the tote as we speak.

R6 No 1 Re Enforcing - Huge run to storm home second last start, can't discount Scenic Shot but with Harvey on board and hopefuly some nice odds this is where my hard earned will be goin

R7 No 5 Vain Crusader - Great win last start, Harvey on board...hard to go past. Interesting that Mansion House has come into just about equal favouritism, hopefuly can get some nice odds for VC

R8 No 8 Kim Invader - Huge run for second last week after drawing a wide barrier. Another awkward draw here but should be good for the trip. Belle Bizzarre is huge danger though

What a massive run by the Pig, Sat three back with cover and then got dragged all the way to last by a tired horse and then steamed home for 4th. Opened at $4.20 with the bookies and drifted to around $7.5.
This will win next start, just hope it is value when it does.

Yeah mate, was a certainty beaten.

I only needed it to run a place & I wouldve cleaned up on an All Up Place.

I backed her on fixed odds for the Railway @ $16 on Thursday, still think she has to improve a bit more to win it though.

Also backed Scenic Shot,Marasco,Wild Target & Ripped when betting opened up, so got a pretty strong hand for the big race.

Scenic Shot may be even better suited for the Fruit n Veg over 1800m.

Cannot wait to see how Marasco goes in the Peters Stakes next Saturday, his first real test in open company. This horse could be a freak!

Time will tell.....
