Out of contract fresh off 4 goals
Hasn’t played much prior so can he be tempted away?

Negotiations underway

From afl site
ASHTON Moir is the only first-rounder from the 2023 Telstra AFL Draft unsigned beyond October, but Carlton is working on a new deal for the South Australian.

If you were taken 1st round in 2023 players got a 3 year deal didnt they?

First year was only last year - spent a lot of the VFL season building a tank after a hip issue in his draft year.

Much the same for the first half of this year in the VFL until he started playing more midfield minutes and getting more of the ball.

Makes sense he hasn’t signed on given he’s only just started proving his value.

His contract would be worth a bit more today than if he signed on a month ago.

Why would Carlton let the only half decent small forward/hybrid forward we've had on the list since Betts go for pick 19 when we've been crying out for one for close to a decade?

Because he is out of contract and gets a better offer and asks for a trade.

Can we please not get bogged down in the BS argument the club wont let players leave.

When a player is out of contract they decide where they play. Often under contract players get their wish.

And if the player chooses the wooden spoon club then the existing club takes what it can get. Or if it's Geelong, they seem to trade in players at 50 cents 8n the dollar every second year.

He was selected with pick 20. Pick 19 if offered is bloody generous and lands a replacement quality small forward.

Will be at Carlton in 2026. Nothing surer.

Is he contracted?

I thought he was on 3 years being a 1st rounder.

OP says OOC..

I think it's Rookie Me Central says he is contracted for 2026.

Anyway it's up to him where he plays. That's the point. You do get that surely?
Only top 20 get 3 year contracts

He was pick 29 despite being a first rounder so he’s out of contract
