I don’t know… I’m all in with what GW is doing.
But the Soapy bluemour suggests GW is happy with our young players. And yet all the assistants responsible for their development seem to have walked out the door for greener pastures.
It may be that we had that area of the club under our control and have now lost our key operators.

Exactly. Even worse going back to the future with a person that a lot have said failed previously. Doesn’t make sense - does it?

Who said he failed previously and by what benchmark? Didn't win a VFL flag when our AFL team was cellar dwellers?
Also who says it's even for the same role. More likely taking Ebert's HoD role than VFL coach.

Our development hasn’t been this good for 2 centuries.
IMO, Losing both Ebert and Power is not a good sign at all.
Adding Fraser, by going back, doesn’t sit well with me and even some others I have conversed with.
This looks very much like last year when we changed our high performance team and removed all the injured and depth players as well.

Agree Fraser returns from Collingwood who don't really develop youth, moneyball free agents and are blessed with 30+ year olds who play like they are 25Our development hasn’t been this good for 2 centuries.

Sam Mitchell is a genius. If we can get Hickmott across it would be a massive get. That IP would be invaluable

Hickmott would be perfect for Charlie, if you’ve seen the Hawks doco that was aired over the summer, the way he handles and communicates with the hawks forwards like Ginnivan and Watson would suit Charlie.
Fowards and Midfield coach need to be more aligned, transition and creative presenting options, then you need to make the right decisions and delivery going in…

I'm not optimistic for securing most of the group we're apparently going after.
Several of them including Burns are known to have moved to where they are for lifestyle/family reasons.
Burns (Adelaide), Lappin (Geelong) and Morris (Brisbane) all might need some serious arm twisting to move back to Melbourne.
Hickmott obviously is already here and I'd say is the most ambitious of the group to become a senior coach. So he's the most likely imo.
Fraser similar but he's presumably targeted for a different role, Dev/VFL, as opposed to assistant.
100% and also not having a dummy and bottle in his mouth also helps GunstonThe way the ball is delivered to him is helpful.
