I was at Vineyard last night and at least 3 Saints (one ex) players were there. Kozi, Gherig and McGuire. Anyway all threee were well behaved though they did like to have a drink or two (as is their perogative during the off season).
However, the funny thing was that towards the end of the night as I was standing at the bar ordering few beers for me and my mates Kozi was placing his own order.
He order three vodka with orange juice and three glasses with just orange juice however he instructed the bar girl to pour the orange juice into identical tumblers as the drinks with vodka. She then proceeded to place two straws into the ones that had alcohol and one straw into the other three. As he paid for the drinks he turned to me and said "got to look after my mates as they have had a bit too much to drink".
Anyway the whole point of this post is to say well done for looking out for your mates like that. A very subtle way that will not cause drama and just making sure that things do not escalate and your mates stay safe.
Note - Buddy Franklin was at the Vineyard also and I have not been subjected to the "Buddy Show" before and I must say its quite a sight...
