WOW! What an episode that was! Best in yonks!!

But what was the deal with the funny camerawork? Felt like I was watching the show through the wrong end of a wobbly telescope.

Don't you watch the Bill joddy ?

Nice to have the Bill back to its old form.

Straight stories, tight scripts, great ensemble acting, solid production - and less and less of the Soap Opera rubbish that has crept in over the last couple of years.

Last nights' episode was one of the best I have seen in a long time - those final scenes when Skase found the body of the missing boy in the boat were gut-wrenching.

I would like the Bill to go back back to half-hour stories though.

cheers

Jod
I was so upset about Rod leaving, I reverted back to my old name.
It was an excellent show last night, good they showed that poor Rod does have a heart after all, or was he really just upset at the pending demise of his career.
Cheers

Was Jim Carver doing the camera work on that episode :D
It was like an episode of WILDSIDE [without the screaming]

The Bill - I love that show!

Will Jim Carver stick around on the show? Could he ever get promoted again? Is he related to Tosh (the cop who died of alcohol poisoning in real life)

BSA, I enjoyed the half hour episodes too, but It was the old theme song (which sounded very 80s) I liked the most.

Oh sorry dont watch the Bill. English shows are quite good though, i used to watch Cold Feet but it ended although i think season 2 is coming soon. Very good show, hilarious at times. Another show i watch which i think is brilliant is Westwing, very good ensemble cast great acting great stories and it helps you understand politics better so you learn aswell heh :)

Jod
Did you ever watch Let them eat cake which was on after Cold Feet, much better show, Jennifer Saunders & Dawn French must ne the best 2 female comedians going around.
Sorry Jod but west wing is just another example of american propaganda.

Have to agree with you there Jod23, West Wing is a great show. I had to watch the first couple of weeks before I really got into it. Now I think it's great. :)

Mantis/Sandie (still cant get used to it :) )

Yeah i saw that show a few times and it is funny. But other shows make me laugh a lot more. I liked Cold Feet more because it wasnt one of those shows that was laugh a minute, half of it was you would sit back and smile and think to yourself "that was good" instead of rolling on the floor laughing.

If you want to literally laugh you head off watch some Red Dwarf :D funniest sitcom ever!

Jim is still in the show in the UK [we are about 14 months behind].
No he isn't related to Tosh.
The actor who plays Jim [Mark Wynget-not sure how its spelt]] is playing an alcholic in memory to the guy who play Tosh.

I really enjoyed those episodes that featured Jim Carver's desent into alcoholic hell.

It was very gritty and very realistic and very well done - some of the best depictions of addiction that you would ever see on screen.

great drama.

For those who are interested Foxtel are running the original episodes of The Bill and will start from the original 45 minute pilot called 'Woodentops' which deals with Jim Carvers first day on the job. Starts at the end of march on UKTV and I for one cant wait.

localyokel - Damn, I'm wishing I now had Foxtel (Cricket and now re-runs of the Bill). Can you maybe do a preview of the episode because I'd love to know what happens etc.
