HANDS OFF OUR COACH..........

someone had to say it!

What is the probability that pagan will go ??

Considering that collins and the board have publicly said that they are not happy with the contracts that they inherited from the past board. come 2006 pagan will either have to take a pay cut, a hefty one at that or hope that there is another club that wants to sack a coach.

I think that if the hawks agree to pay a significant portion of is 2005 contract and offer pagan 5 years then he and carlton would be a duds not to take it.

Mate he has shown what he can do in limited time imagine what he can do with a few more years...........Carlton should not and hopefully will not let him go elsewhere......he is the best coach going around

I don't think i said anywhere that he isn't a good coach, as for being the best going round, don't give him a big head. What I did say was that the current board doesn't think he is worth 650+K pa, and for a financially struggling club, makes no sense to pay that ridiculous amount.

This is the best way for the footy department to cut costs, and whether we like it or not, pagans contract will be re negotiated in 2006, and he will be asked to take a hefty pay cut.

We wont be struggling financially when we move to the G & the Dome.
A good coach demands 5-700 a year.
Pagan wont go anywhere.

I think once the move is nutted out & a done deal the current board will begin contract extension discussions with Pagan.

To be honest, i think we could do something like a member donation to help with pagans funds. I'd be willing to chip in $100 a season for him to be our coach. For us to keep improving we need to give him at least 5 yrs to work his magic. Look what he's done in 2 seasons. We've gone from being the worst team in the comp, last yr included, while we didn't win the spoon we should have, to being a team that is just outside the 8. Next yr we could hope to play finals and so on.

I think he's worth every penny. If we pay someone like lance $400k a yr, and kouta $800k a yr, then pagans gotta be worth somehwere in between. While big jack may have been wrong with many things he did, he did everything for the best of the club. Collins is another president more concerned with the financials than the clubs on field success. While we are struggling financially, whether we pay pagan $600-$800k a yr, compared to say mark harvey or someone else around $400k that extra $200k or so is better served paying it to pagan.

I'll stop my ranting but if collins ********s up and pushes pagan out the door ... Make no mistake I will find where he lives and make him bite the ********ing curb (ala american history X)!!! ( :) only joking but i would be friggen ********ed off!!).
