I for one cannot continue to support a club with all the off field crap that is turning Uniteds home games into a circus.
Having a clown in the crowd with a microphone is just not on (someone even yelled Your crap Vidmar into it) and I kid you not it was a clown.
And the before the match announcer Scott McBain please go away. We cant hear ourselves think, gee your embarrassing.
Sure the hype is great, but listen to the complaints in the crowd for gods sake. As for the The Stand why try to sing over the loud speakers? You wont win!
Just hope things get sorted, anyone else agree?

Have to agree...the club has done some great things since starting out only recently, but Mc Bain is a tool, and nobody needs a clown in the crowd to gee the crowd up...there are enough already:)

The clown was ridiculous, I think 'The Stand' made it clear what it thought of him with the 'Ronald McDonald' chart. He buggered off after that. We had a really good atmosphere going after our goal but the bloody rozzers spolied it all by telling people to move out of the aisles moving them behind the yellow lines in the gangways. There was not a bloody problem 'til they showed up. I agree there is too much of this 'pre-game entertainment'. 99% of the people at the game are there for the Football and we don't need this packaged hype to go with it. Lets be a serious Football club FFS, we don't need clowns running through the crowd with mics or announcers telling us when to cheer. Also what was the deal with the national anthem tonight - it was woeful, waaaaay too slow!

I think the change of start time might have kept the crowd down tonight, 2 mates of mine couldn't make it because they have work early tomorrow. Looked around 13,000 to me. As for the performance, ewww, it was a stinker to put in for the Derby. I thought on balance we didn't deserve to be behind at half time. Mori's goal came from a mistake in midfield which was very annoying. After half time though I didn't think we were much cop, never looked like scoring. I was surprised Demourtzidis was taken off because I felt he was really having a go. Saric didn't seem to have the same impact. At the end of the day we don't have the same class as Perth. Still, it ain't a bad start to the season, but it's just going to get harder from now, improvement is needed all over the park.

Oh well, to South Melbourne next weekend for another tough match. Hope everyone going over gets a better result than tonight!

Very Happy with the glory's performance. The Clown you speak of was drowning out the commentators radio call back here in Perth. I just hope that this loss doesn't turn too many of your fans away and that you continue to pull bumper crowds for the rest of the season.

I hope that your huge crowds have an effect on the thinking of all the Perth people that "**** we better go to the glory we can't have United getting a bigger crowd than us" And hopefully vece verser from your lot.

Well, I have never heard him at a football match, but I hear the words Adelaide and Scott McBain and I know exactly what you are talking about.

Football does not need the hype from the PA, it is a sport good enough to survive on it's own merits. Every second week, I hear the words "Now, here is your very own Manchester City" and the atmosphere is nothing like when they used to just call out the names of the starting XI, and let the crowd, and the excitement of another top class football match create it's own atmosphere.

Todays Advertiser had a real dig at the clown, and said United officials quickly got rid of him ( even though the club would of orgainised it  ). Im not going to blame him like the Advertiser for Glory's first two goals, but I want to be able to sing and watch without a clown spoiling it with a microphone. The drums are a pain too, but thats another story.

Anyway, by the sounds of it one clown gone, 1 more to go (Scott McBain)

Welcome to the NSL.

At Spirit games we used to have that mindless prattler Tim Bailey as the ground announcer.

At the Carlton-South Melbourne Istanbul GF a few years ago (one of the best matches of sport I have seen EVER!!!!!) they had this ******** in a Spiderman costume waling around the running track. The Carlton fans laughed at him. The Hellas hools threw objects at him.
