Yep, he had spoken about his retirement plans in interviews around Round 16-18. So I've feared the worst but kept thinking "Surely he can't just leave?"SpRiGgZy said:ah..weird but i just saw on ch.7 sport that aussie jones has quit the club today![]()

Aussie was expected to retire at the end of this year, so it seems highly likely. But then again, Hutchy has been known to be full of shyt on more than one occasion, so let's hope he is again!astro_toby said:is this 100%? i cant see it written anywhere except here - not on afl.com or stkilda website
I hope not. We'd be going backwards if we did.Teagueeee15 said:Do you think the Saints will look at Matthew Lappin? Very similar player and similar age.
Terry Tan said:He's a long time retired, and he'll probably regret it in a few years time when he's playing with the suburban hacks for $25K a year, in front of 100 bozo's and weighing 90kg..
That's the thing he wasn't putting in 100% every game and he doesn't believe that he will be able to in future seasons. He believes that if can't put in 100% every game then he shouldn't be playing for a team, especially one that is contending the premiership.hey shorty said:absolutely, well done aussie great stuff mate. hard to replace guys like him, always putting in 110% no matter what. well done again on a great career

And why is he a disturbed soul terry? Please enlighten us all on that statement or is it once again Terry Tan talking out of his butt?
