I know many people don't like betting on entertainment events, they are free to ignore this thread.

I have a pretty good record betting on Idol, not that I do it much, but I had Kate winning it last year ~$3. This year I'm on Damien, I can't fathom how he's the outsider at $2.12 (Sportingbet) so I've had $100 on him at that.

Also had $10 on Kouta winning DWTS at big odds, just for amusements sake, I don't really think he will.

Anyone else betting in these two?

Haven't watched Idol, but did about 5 mins research yesterday and found a poll Jessica 52% to Damien 48%. Not worth the guess imo.
DWTS - I don't know & don't care anymore, i thought Gaze would win.

Its more about the money each person who votes has, all the blokes votewrs might be poor bogans, while the girl might have rich parents, friends and fans thayt have unlimited access to mobile phone messaging...

That theory doesn’t hold up.
If there were only a small number of votes then that could influence the result but there’s not.

I chickened out after being more and more confident, had $200 on Damien at $2.18 average, but then had $30 back on Jess (was the rest of my Betfair account) because I started to doubt it reading things on the various forums about a leak etc And the plunge terrified me.

He got out to $2.50, can't believe I didn't touch it at that price

Clean weep of both in the end. Had another $25 that ended up being matched that I didn't realise was, so ended up winning $200 from DWTS as well as Idol

Kouta was available at 10/1 and 20/1 for most of the comp.
He was one of my three bets alongside Gaze and chris @ avg 9.8.
